Avocado Makes Everything Better

We're going to guess that you're a pretty big fan of avocados. Because, let's face it, most of us are.

Whether you love the green superfood more because of its taste, texture or health benefits, another reason to love avocados is because it's an impressive ingredient to use in your skincare. Avocado oil is one of the few oils that has been clinically tested as a face oil with impressive results.

In fact, one 2013 study from the National Institute of Health found that because of the essential fatty acids and oleic acid in avocado oil, it actually promotes skin barrier repair by promoting collagen synthesis (the process of creating new connective tissue.)

As if that wasn't enough—it's also an emollient, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.

Humectant and Emollient: Avocado oil can penetrate your skin deeply AND it also traps moisture within the skin to helps it maintain hydration.

Anti inflammatory: The essential fatty acids in avocado oil help minimize redness and inflammation whether from rosacea, eczema, acne or even sunburn (but of course we always use your SPF so consider this purely anecdotal!)

Antioxidant: The powerful nutrients in avocado oil can help protect the skin from oxidative stress including damage from free radicals from UV rays.

The organic avocado oil in Avoila (persea gratissma) is derived from the fruit of the avocado. It is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid and oleic acid as well as beta-sitosterol, lecithin, minerals and vitamins A, C, D and E.

Avoila was actually inspired by avocado oil. But it is only one of the potent, skin-loving ingredients in the plant-based formulation. The other ingredients balance and support the avocado oil creating a unique blend that supports dry, sensitive, acne-prone and mature skin.
